Rovers have announced Watson Ramsbottom Solicitors as the club's back of shirt sponsor for the 2018/19 season.

The organisation’s logo will be on Rovers' home and away shirts for the upcoming Championship campaign.

The company, who have offices across East Lancashire, follow the announcement of 10Bet Sports as the club's principal sponsor earlier this month.

Rovers’ Chief Executive, Steve Waggott, said: “We are delighted to welcome Watson Ramsbotton on board as a corporate partner in what is a mutually beneficial deal.

"The deal will not only generate vital commercial revenue for the club, but will also further reinforce our links within the local business community.

"As a club, engaging with local businesses is a very important aspect of our ongoing commercial strategy and we are very pleased that Watson Ramsbottom have identified the value that the club can bring to their brand by entering into what will hopefully be a long and fruitful working relationship.”

Managing Director Phillip Thompson and Director Stuart Maher visited the Senior Training Centre on Tuesday morning, where they met manager Tony Mowbray and the first team squad, as the players were put through their paces ahead of the Championship opener at Ipswich Town.

Mr Thompson, a Rovers supporter, said: “We’re a high street practice and the deal represents a first for us through shirt sponsorship.

"There are plenty of Rovers fans working for us and we’re all delighted to join forces with the club. There’s an opportunity for us as we feel the club have the makings and the mentality to get back to the very top.

“It’s a club on the up and one that isn’t just settling for survival. We have an excellent manager, who, in my opinion, couldn’t do much better for the club. It’ll be a good season I’m sure and we look at it as getting involved with the club and getting out there in the community.

“We’re looking forward to developing that relationship with not just the club but also with the local area in and around the towns.”
