Brent Peters is cursing his luck with several players missing ahead of Bacup's match away to Abbey Hey.
Stuart Shepherd limped out of Wednesday night's defeat against Ramsbottom and is likely to join the list of absentees for Borough, which includes Tony Carroll, John Borg and Ian Barker.
Peters said: "It's so soon in the season and, given the financial rewards that can come from this competition, it's unfortunate that we won't be able to field our strongest side."
