A Leicester City official was "lucky to be alive" last night after surviving a horror fall prior to the Carling Cup clash with Accrington Stanley.
The Foxes video analyst, Donald Baron, was scaling the gantry half an hour before kick off before slipping on the rain-soaked scaffolding and falling 25 feet to the ground and landing on his face.
Mr Baron escaped serious injury and it is believed he was treated at the ground before returning to the gantry to see the Foxes snatch a 1-0 win.
After the match, Leicester manager Martin Allen said: "He's got seven stitches across his nose and forehead and if the truth be known he's half lucky to be alive."
