BURNLEY recorded their fifth pre-season victory after beating their Yorkshire rivals 2-0 at Turf Moor.
An Andy Gray penalty on 15 minutes and an Ade Akinbiyi strike on 53 minutes gave the Clarets a much deserved win.
Gray struck from the spot after Matt Heath was adjudged to have handled a cross in the area.
Gabor Kiraly impressed, making saves from Jermaine Beckford and David Prutton.
But the Clarets doubled their advantage when Akinbiyi converted from close range from Wade Elliott's excellent cross.
Burnley: Kiraly (Jensen 46), Foster, Harley (Mahon 46), Duff, Caldwell, O'Connor (Gudjonsson 46), Gray (Rodriguez 73), McCann (Spicer 46), Lafferty (Akinbiyi 46), Berisha (Elliott 46), Jordan
