STEVEN Burke's bid for European Track Championship glory ended with a crash during team pursuit qualifying in Germany.
The East Lancashire ace was part of the Great Britain squad bidding to reach the medal rides in Berlin but Andy Tennant's fall prevented the quartet from setting a time.
Tennant suffered dizziness on the last lap which saw him fall but he has since made a full recovery.
Burke, Tennant, Kian Emadi and Mark Stewart were on course to qualify but, after Emadi peeled off in the closing stages, Tennant's fall meant that Great Britain were unable to set a time as three riders need to cross the line.
