TYLER Magloire has become the final of the second year scholars to be offered a contract by Rovers to sign their first professional deal.
Central defender Magloire has signed a two-year deal with Rovers that will take him through to the summer of 2019.
The 18-year-old made 17 appearances for Damien Johnson’s Under-23s side last term, as well as a further 14 for the Under-18s.
That followed on from an outing for the first-team last season pre-season in the 1-0 win over Bury.
Magloire, a powerful central defender, began his scholarship with 21 appearances for Billy Barr’s Under-18s in 2015/16.
He is the final of the four players to be offered deals to sign up at Rovers, following Charley Doyle, Joe Grayson and Stefan Mols in committing their futures to the club, with all of their deals running until 2019.
Joe Rankin-Costello had already signed his first professional deal in January.
They will be looking to play a key part for Johnson’s development side in the forthcoming season.
The Under-23s get their pre-season programme underway when they travel to the WEC Group Anchor Ground to take on AFC Darwen on Tuesday, July 11 (7pm).
Their fixtures also includes a game at Ramsbottom United on Wednesday, July 19 (7.45pm), Cole on Saturday, July 22 (3pm) and at Marine AFC on Saturday, July 29 (3pm).
