WE produced another great display on Sunday to beat Solihull 8-5 and we now just need one point from two games to make sure of a play-off place.

The lads have really turned the season around in the last few weeks and the mood around the club is fantastic.

We played really well and it has been nice to silence some of the critics a little bit in recent weeks.

Again I think the scoreline flattered Solihull a little bit on Sunday and it was a great performance as it moves us above them and into third in the table.

That is where we want to finish the season now as it would mean avoiding champions Solway Sharks in the play-offs and if we beat Solihull in the reverse fixture next week then we will be guaranteed that position which would be fantastic considering where we were a few months ago.

At Christmas we set ourselves some targets and the first of those was to pull away from the bottom of the league which we have managed to do.

The next one was to get into the play-offs which we are now close to doing and the last one was to win the play-offs.

We have done that in the past having finished fourth in the league and it would be great to do that again but first thing’s first and it is about getting a result next week to make sure we are in Sheffield on April 8-9.
