BLACKBURN Rovers boss Owen Coyle believes home advantage can help Rovers into the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Rovers will host either Barnsley or Blackpool in round four later this month after the draw was made on Monday night.

And Coyle admits having the tie at Ewood Park was a welcome boost for his squad.

“Anytime you get a home draw it’s great," Coyle said.

"The fact that it’s the FA Cup - such a prestigious competition - then we’re delighted with that.

“When you get a home tie, you want one of two things, we’d love for the fans one of those big glamour clubs or if it’s not going to be, then you want a tie which you feel that you’ve got a chance of winning.

“Whilst we still don’t know our opponents, when it comes about we’ll do everything we can to try and get through to the next round.

“There’s obviously some important league business to take care of before that, but when it comes about it’s a game that we will be ready for.

"Hopefully there’ll be some excitement generated through the fans and it’s a chance to progress through to the last 16.

"If you’re able to do that, we know that anything can happen because that’s the beauty of the FA Cup.”

Barnsley will entertain Blackpool in their third round replay at Oakwell on Tuesday night with the fourth round ties set for January 27-30.
