WES Brown would be a ‘great addition’ for Blackburn Rovers – both on and off the field.
That is the opinion of Owen Coyle who is now speaking to the former England and Manchester United defender’s representative before taking a deal to Rovers owners Venky’s.
Brown has been training with the club since the summer and has now played three successive matches for the under-23s since returning from injury.
And Rovers boss Coyle said: “I’d love Wes to be here and Wes himself would like to be here.
“I will speak to his representative and if there’s something we can thrash out I will put that to the club and see what comes back from there.
“For me Wes would be a great addition both on the field, where he’s been a wonderful player, and off the field, where he’s been very influential with the young players.
“He’s an outstanding player and man, a fantastic professional, and I’d love to have him here, so we’ll see how that dialogue goes.”
