IT was an Easter weekend to remember for the youngsters at Burnley Rugby Club who got the chance to enjoy a day out at Sale Sharks for the Premiership clash against Leicester Tigers.
A total of 80 members made the trip to Sale, the senior members of the party in buoyant mood following the success of its two teams who picked up wins on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.
Two coaches set off from Holden Road for the AJ Bell Stadium to see Danny Ciprani and Co in action in what proved to be a keenly contested encounter.
But it wasn’t just the professionals who were on show as Burnley Under Sevens and Under Eights teams took to the pitch at half time to play Buxton at both age groups.
Both teams did the club proud, scoring plenty of tries and entertaining the watching crowd.
The Burnley Under Sevens squad included Danny, Ava, Noah, Lucca, Tristan, Mason, Jake, Cole.
The Under Eights squad was made up of Corbey, Jackson, Austen, Niahm, Ray, Harry.
This week, Burnley will host a 'Super Saturday' with the U13s playing Colne and Nelson before the seniors take on Pendle.
Sunday is just training for the rest of the juniors in preparation for the trip to York the following Sunday.
