MARK Hughes insists Blackburn Rovers will be going all out for victory at White Hart Lane tonight in their quest to qualify for Europe.

The Ewood boss believes Rovers can look forward to a second successive season of European football if they land six points from their remaining two Premiership fixtures.

But defeat in the capital would not be a disaster as Rovers could finish as low as 10th and still qualify via the Intertoto Cup, provided Reading and Portsmouth, who have not applied to take part, occupy eighth and ninth place.

An impressive run of recent form, in which Rovers have won three and drawn one of their last four games, has seen Hughes' men searching for their passports again.

Disregarding all the complications surrounding qualification, Hughes is left in no doubt that Blackburn must win their final games to nail down a European place.

"It's complicated, and there are various different permutations, but the bottom line is if we win two games then I believe we'll be in Europe in one form or another," said Hughes.

"We could get beaten by Tottenham and still get into Europe but, trust me, we're not going there with that mentality.

"It is a strange situation but we've basically got to try and win both games if we can, and if we do that then I think we'll be in Europe.

"When you look at it even Bolton need a result on Sunday because if they get beat by Villa and we win both of our last two games then we'll finish above them.

"Reading and Portsmouth may also drop down but that's not as much of an issue for us because they haven't applied for the Intertoto so that has to be factored in as well."

As things stand ahead of tonight's showdown at Tottenham, Blackburn face a strong chance of qualify for the Intertoto Cup at the very least, although their objective is to make it through to next season's UEFA Cup automatically.

Rovers go into the game three places and five points outside the UEFA Cup qualifying spots.

Anything less than maximum points from their last two matches will see them missing out on direct qualification, and even six points out of six may not be enough.

But eighth place would be sufficient to earn an invite to the Intertoto Cup, which Blackburn, Spurs and Bolton have all applied.

However, Rovers are unlikely to find Tottenham a pushover on London territory, with Martin Jol's side brimming targeting a fifth place finish for a second consecutive season.

Hughes is especially wary of the threat posed by Spurs strike duo Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov.

Hughes added: "Spurs have a great home record and are playing with confidence. They look like they have a goal threat with the two guys upfront.

"They are very similar to ourselves in fairness; we look very strong in attack and defensively.

"We looked rock solid at the weekend and if we can do that again it will give us a platform for the guys up front to create chances and hopefully convert some."
