Ipswich Town have made an approach to sign Franny Jeffers and they hope to get an answer from Blackburn Rovers at some point next week.
Ipswich chairman David Sheepshanks confirmed he has made a move for the striker, who has impressed during a loan spell at Portman Road, and Rovers have promised to give him an answer once their season has finished.
Jeffers, once famously dubbed the fox in the box' by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, signed for Rovers last summer, but scored just once, in the 3-0 UEFA Cup win over Basle.
