John Coleman wasn't downcast after seeing his Accrington Stanley side lose 3-1 against promotion-contenders MK Dons on Saturday.
"Everyone who played, played their part (at MK Dons)," said the Reds boss.
"I always knew we'd score but it's disappointing to concede another three, but you have got to take heart from the performance that the lads played."
"Our fans were terrific and it would have been nice to sign off with a victory for them coming all this way."
Coleman is now negotiating contracts with several members of Stanley's squad.
Goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin has committed himself to next season by penning a new deal.
