Burnley manager Steve Cotterill was frustrated that Leeds United's goal on Saturday came from a set-piece.

Cotterill said: "We said going into the game that we had to head it well, whoever was competing for headers, we had to head it well against them because they will stick balls in the box and you'll get Heath and Michalik coming up who will cause havoc.

"And you will have people like Healy, Blake, Cresswell, Lewis, Kishishev, and so on, looking for the knock-downs," the Burnley boss added.

"They'll be difficult to play against, especially when they have a crowd behind them like the've got here.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game for us, having said that had we been better in the first half we may have got something out of it."

He added: "It was frustrating in the first-half - the second half we dominated.

"I don't think they got in our half hardly in the second half but that's probably going to happen, especially if they get their noses in front.

"We looked as if we'd had a few results and it was a sigh of relief for us in the first 45 minutes, but after half-time we were a lot better.

"We played with a bit more zippiness and a bit more devilment, but not quite enough.

"We just didn't deal with a couple of headers in our box that gave them chances.

"The volley that hit the bar came from a second-phased ball that was put in our box, we'd headed that one out, but we didn't head the corner and we didn't head two balls straight after that when Brian Jensen had to make a save and tip over the bar.

"There's no point in missing out on three headers in your box today because one of them has ended up in the back of our net and it's not something we didn't work on yesterday (Friday) so we're disappointed with the goal, to say the least."
