STEVE Mullen's Darwen turned in a superb performance as they blew Bootle away to make it three wins on the bounce.
The home side got off to the perfect start when Stephen Shackleton gave Darwen the lead after 13 minutes.
Bootle were able to keep it tight until just after the hour mark but two goals in as many minutes from Jason Jones and Neil Almond practically killed the game as a contest.
But there was still time Stuart Telfer to get his name on the scoresheet in the last minute to round off a great performance at the Anchor Ground.
