Former Burnley striker Charlie Austin has also received his first international call-up.
Manager Roy Hodgson said: "Tom Heaton, Jamie Vardy & Charlie Austin have had very good seasons for their clubs quite often in very difficult situations.
"We've always had our eye on Charlie, but up to this point we haven't had the space in the squad. We'll give him every chance."
