BRENDAN Rodgers has dismissed reports Liverpool held a ‘crisis meeting’ after their 4-1 Premier League loss at Arsenal on Saturday.

And the Reds boss has insisted they will be ‘fresh and focused’ for their FA Cup quarter-final replay at Blackburn Rovers tomorrow.

Rodgers said: “I’ve heard that (reports) this morning, it’s something you can’t help.

“We have lots of meetings here in terms of analysing performance and it was no different to a whole host of meetings we have all year

“Those meetings helped us recover from the bad start we had to win 10 games out of 13.

“It was nothing really, it was just analysing performance, analysing where we are at and then feeding forward to the players.

“With seven games to go and an FA Cup quarter-final the objectives we can clearly achieve between now and the end of the season.

“It is just unfortunate something else was made up.”

Liverpool’s hopes of a Champions League spot appear to be over but they would seal a trip to Wembley by beating Rovers at the second time of asking tomorrow.

“Blackburn have got some excellent players,” said Rodgers, whose side were held to a 0-0 draw in the initial tie.

“They defended well when they came to Anfield but we’ll go there really focused and determined. We can’t wait to play again after the weekend’s disappointment.

“The players are fresh and focused to get a result. We’ve got a good couple of days now to work and prepare, we’ll take it into the game and qualification is important now.”

Liverpool will be without the suspended Steven Gerrard, Martin Skrtel and Emre Can tomorrow and will give a late fitness test to Mario Balotelli.
