ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman has vowed to appeal against David Brown's controversial sending off.
The Reds were forced to finish Saturday's game against Hereford United with 10 men when the striker was shown a shock red card for his trip on Danny Thomas on the break.
Brown is now facing a three-match ban after referee Graham Laws deemed it "serious foul play", but Coleman is hopeful that the decision will be overturned.
"We definitely will be appealing the sending off," he said.
"It's in his own half and there are two men goal-side.
"I'm sure when the referee's had a chance to have a look at the video it will be wiped out."
Brown's harsh dismissal cast a shadow on what was a good performance for him personally, and for the team.
"We played some terrific stuff," added Coleman.
"There was some great passing and we scored two wonderful goals and I thought we thoroughly deserved to win."
