PADIHAM improved their promotion aspirations with a lively Division Two win over Staffordshire side Eccleshall.
Michael Morrison shot the Storks ahead on 10 minutes after the visiting goalkeeper Steve Intimar fumbled the Padhiam striker's close range effort.
Shots from Andy Haworth and Morrison tested Intimar as the game progressed and on the half-hour mark Eccleshall had their first shot on target when Michael Machin fired a free-kick just over the Storks corssbar.
Five minutes before the interval, Padiham doubled their lead when captain Paul Paynter got behind the visitors defence and crossed for Ed O'Neill to score from the edge of the 18 yard box.
Early Eccleshall pressure at the start of the second half saw Machin hit the crossbar and Matt Mills have a header cleared off the line.
However, Padiham made it 3-0 on 57 minutes after Haworth was upended in the box and Vinnie Braine scored from the penalty spot.
