PRIMARY school pupils across Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley got a sporting taster session after taking part in a multi skills event.
Held over three days, schools were invited to take part in a range of events from multi skill events to Paralympics sports. The event was coordin-ated by Hyndburn & Ribble Valley School Sport Partnership.
“The event saw more than 1,000 children take part in either as a participant or as a sports leader from a secondary school,” said Gareth Martindale, Assistant School Games Organiser. “I would like to Accrington Academy and Ribblesdale High School who provided these leaders.”
The aim of the multi skills stations were to look at ways at improving the skills of the participants in a range of areas - such as co-ordination, balance, agility, speed, jumping and skipping.
The paralympic sport the pupils took part in were kurling, boccia and seated volleyball.
