MOST footballers dream of playing for Manchester United – Naomi Hartley has already got there!

The 13-year-old Blessed Trinity student has been snapped up by the Red Devils and now aspires to make the next step and play for England.

“It is exciting,” said Year Nine student Naomi. “I used to play for Burnley Ladies and Blackburn Ladies but got scouted by Manchester United.

“I train at Carrington three times a week - it is really busy and they have improved my fitness.”

Naomi, who lives in Brunshaw, plays centre midfield or centre back.

“To be honest, I wanted to be a kickboxer but my dad persuaded me to continue with my football.

“I am a Burnley fan and I used to have a season ticket but you can’t turn down the chance to play for Manchester United. Now my aim is to play for England.”
