JACK Spencer reckons consistency is the key to success after just missing out on a top 10 finish in the latest round of the British Trials Championship.
The promising young rider from Bacup had to be content with a still-impressive 13th place at Addingham Moorside, near Silsden.
Spencer, who lives in Bacup, could have made the top 10 but for taking a five on section six – having just cleaned a difficult section five.
“I need to be more consistent,” said Spencer. “I cleaned section five which everyone else struggled with, then threw it away with a five on a section which was relatively easy.
“But other than that, I was happy with my performance.”
Spencer heads for Oxfordshire this weekend to contest the invitation-only North Berks Bonanza Supertrial.
