PROMOTED Ramsbottom United will kick off life in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division at their Harry Williams Riverside Stadium home.

Ramsbottom, last season’s First Division North play-off winners, will get the 2014-15 campaign under way with a visit of Norfolk outfit King’s Lynn Town on Saturday, August 16.

Padiham will also start the season at home on the same day.

The Storks, who finished 19th in First Division North in 2013-14, will entertain promoted Spennymoor Town.

Clitheroe, meanwhile, will hit the road for their big opener.

Simon Garner’s side, who finished two places above Padiham in 17th last time out, will travel to Ossett Town.

The first East Lancashire derby of the campaign between the Blues and the Storks will take place on Boxing Day at the Arbories Memorial Sports Ground.

The reverse clash, to be played at Clitheroe’s Shawbridge, will go-ahead on Easter Monday, April 6.

The Blues and Padiham will both be in action on New Year’s Day.

Clitheroe will host Lancaster City while the Storks will head to Mossley.

On the final day of the season the Blues will entertain Warrington Town while Padiham will be at home to Prescot Cables.

Ramsbottom, who have never before competed at such a high level of non-league football, will host Ashton United on Boxing Day, make their way to Nantwich Town on New Year’s Day and round off their campaign at home to Matlock Town on Saturday, April 25.

The Rams’ eagerly anticipated visit of FC United of Manchester is scheduled for Easter Saturday, April 4.
