ACCRINGTON Stanley held on to earn a precious point against fellow strugglers Bury, despite playing with 10 men for an hour.
Left back Laurence Wilson was sent off soon after the half-hour for a terrible challenge on Craig Jones.
But the Reds dug in to get to the break unscathed, despite chances for winger Jones and on-loan Blackburn Rovers striker Anton Forrester Michael Liddle came on at half-time to shore up the defence, and the back four demonstrated a resilience that will stand them in good stead for the run-in.
Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli weighed in with a number of key saves, including a late one from Daniel Nardiello, to preserve a valuable clean sheet and a point to keep them above the Shakers in 20th place.
