ACCRINGTON Stanley are hoping to sign midfielder David Mannix on a permanent deal.
The youngster was signed on a month's loan deal from Liverpool at the end of November but returned to Anfield for treatment after suffering knee ligament damage in his debut against Grimsby Town.
However, Reds boss John Coleman was confident he'd seen enough of the 21-year-old and hoped to lure him down to League Two.
He said: "We've made him an offer and we're just waiting for him to get back to us."
Coleman revealed they had made inquiries about four other players although he refused to be drawn on names.
Meanwhile permanent deals for midfielders Ian Craney and Gary Roberts, to Swansea and Ipswich respectively, are close to being tied up.
