NELSON’S FA Vase plans were left in tatters after their tie in the North East went ahead at the last minute.
The Admirals had been told the first round clash was likely to be postponed so they cancelled plans to travel up the night before.
However, the pitch at Jarrow Roofing Boldon Community Association was deemed playable and the match went ahead.
Jarrow went on to win the tie thanks to first half goals from Liam McBride (23) and Andy Appleby (45).
