BLACKBURN Rovers' Under 18s showed tremendous fighting spirit as they twice came from behind to grab a hard-earned point against Everton.

An exciting game burst into life in the second half when Everton twice took the lead, only for Rovers to claw their way back.

Kevin Pezzoni, Alan Judge, Dean Winnard and Junior Dadson all went close with chances as Rovers bossed the opening 45 minutes.

It was somewhat against the run of play then when Everton took the lead in the 74th minute.

However, an inspired substitution from Gary Bowyer saw Rovers hit back almost immediately, Jack Brierley climbing off the bench to tee-up Josh O'Keefe for a fine equaliser.

Four minutes later, however, Everton were back in front again, a defender lashing the ball home from a corner.

But Rovers were in no mood to be denied and their supersub Brierley once again had a pivotal role in the second equaliser, his flick releasing O'Keefe, who scored with aplomb.
