VETERAN midfielder Tugay wants contract talks with Mark Hughes after revealing he is ready to finish his career with Blackburn Rovers.
The 36-year-old's present deal is due to run out at the end of the season, but the Turk is keen to discuss a new one because he believes he can play on at Premiership level until he is 40.
The former Rangers and Galatasaray star, who scored a stunning goal in last week's UEFA Cup win over FC Basel, said: "Ideally, I would like to finish my career with Blackburn.
"I've played with only three clubs and have been very happy here. I hope things will be resolved in January.
"I think if you can look after your body you can go on until you are 40, why not?
"I'd love to score a goal like I did against Basel when I am that age.
"It might be easier for me to play on than for Teddy Sheringham because I am a midfield player."
