Burnley boss Steve Cotterill could be faced with a defensive selection headache if captain Wayne Thomas fails to bounce back from a knee injury picked up at Preston last Friday.
With Steve Foster suspended he could play Wade Elliott at right back and move Frank Sinclair into the middle, which could open up a place for Alan Mahon in midfield.
But whoever plays at the back will face a tough test from Jim Magilton's Tractor Boys, who knocked in five against Luton, although they struggled against Plymouth during the week.
Cotterill said: "I think they've had a decent start.
"They've had a couple of good results recently and we're looking forward to playing them.
"Jim was such an icon at Ipswich, that probably helped him get the managerial job there because for your first managerial job to be Ipswich Town, it's a wonderful achievement so good luck to him, obviously not in the games we play, but good luck to him because he's got a good opportunity at a wonderful club."
