LOTTERY winner Anthony Young must be feeling on top of the world today.
One minute he is checking car parts for a Burnley firm and the next he is £2.3million richer.
Now he can afford to buy anything he wants.
But he said his priority was looking after his family and friends.
He plans to buy his mum a bungalow and take his friend to Cuba so he can get married.
Anthony could have been any one of us.
And that’s what makes his win so special.
He has had a working class upbringing in Padiham and has made an honest living working as a plasterer.
Many people in East Lancashire will be able to empathise with working in a trade for long hours for not much money.
It is a sad sign of the times that people are struggling financially with job cuts, changes to pensions and the rising cost of living.
But Anthony is living the dream and deserves his lucky break.
