POLICE are appealing for information after a cash machine and a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol were taken during a burglary at a convenience store in Waterfoot.
Officers were called at 4.19am on February 27 to reports of a break-in at the Premier Mini-Mart on Burnley Road East.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "It is believed that three offenders have forced entry into the shop.
"Once inside they have stolen a large amount of cigarettes and alcohol.
"They have then removed a static cash machine from the wall and dragged it out of the shop and into a white van before driving away.
"Detectives are appealing for anyone with information which could help with their investigation to come forward."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01254 353862, or failing that, 101 quoting log number 141 of the 27th February.
