A YOUNG boy was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Rossendale.
The seven-year-old was left with cuts and bruises following the collision in Burnley Road East, Whitewell Bottom, at around 3.50pm on Sunday, police said.
He was taken to Fairfield Hospital, Bury, but was expected to be released last night or today.
Police closed part of Burnley Road East and Shaw Clough Road for almost two hours before reopening the stretches at 6.30pm.
