A 13-YEAR-old boy suffered suspected head and spinal injuries after falling from a tree in Whitworth.
The youngster was airlifted to Manchester Children’s Hospital after the incident at St Bartholomew's CE Primary School in Hall Street. Firefighters that attended the scene said the boy landed head first in the school grounds. Chris Haworth, crew manager at Bacup Fire Station, said: “The fire service assisted the paramedics using their spine board to carry the child to the Air Ambulance.”
The incident happened at 1.40pm on Saturday.
