A 285-YEAR-old almshouse in Ribchester is set to undergo major internal refurbishment work if the plans are approved by Ribble Valley Borough Council.
The Stydd Almshouse, which was built by the Shireburn family in 1728, is a Grade II listed building and housed the poor of the parish before being converted into flats.
The work includes refurbishing kitchens and bedrooms and secondary glazing of the windows.
Ribchester Parish Council are in favour of the refurbishment work.
Your Housing Group in Preston submitted their application in September.
