A MEDICAL centre could be expanded if councillors give planning consent.
Bosses at Berry Lane Medical Centre have submitted new plans to Ribble Valley Council to make a two-storey extension to the centre on Barclay Road, off Berry Lane, Longridge.
The proposed scheme, according to the applicant, will allow the medical centre to expand their practice in line with the needs of the surrounding community.
Additional consulting rooms, treatment room and office space would be provided if the scheme went ahead.
The extension would involve refurbishment and rebuilding of part of the children's play area next to the centre's building, which has staged a number of popular events in the area, including Longridge Field Day.
A decision on the application will be determined at a future planning and development meeting.
