A BUSINESS owner has hailed the success of a popular eatery during an annual food festival.
Thousands of people visited Clitheroe on Saturday for the seventh annual Clitheroe Food Festival.
One of the popular destinations during the festival was Clitheroe’s Beer Hall at Holmes Mill, which houses what is believed to be the UK’s longest bar.
Holmes Mill operations manager Andrew Bailey said: “The Clitheroe Food Festival gave a fantastic boost to many of the businesses in the town and made locals feel proud.
“At Holmes Mill we had live music, bars, a pizza oven and barbecue outside as well as the Beer Hall and Bowland Food Hall for visitors to enjoy.
“There was a happy vibe about the place as it became the natural destination for between 6-7,000 festival goers leaving the Market Place area, a natural extension to what has already become an anticipated event.”
