Rovers youngster Tom White will spend the next two months with National League high-fliers Barrow.

White will go straight in to Ian Evatt’s squad for the trip to Notts County tomorrow, as the high-flying Cumbrians look to continue their fine run of form, with nine wins in their last 10 matches.

White will remain at Holker Street until January 18 and has also been granted permission to play in the FA Trophy.

The 22-year-old will join up with fellow Rovers youngster Matty Platt, who will spend the season with Barrow, and former Ewood youngster Lewis Hardcastle.

White made the move to Rovers in the summer from Gateshead and was a regular for the Under-23s in the early stages of the campaign.

However, with Jacob Davenport working his way back in to contention for the first-team with minutes for the Academy side, White has found opportunities limited of late.

And he will hope to boost his game-time for a Barrow side who sit fourth in the National League, two points off top with a game in hand, in what is a hotly contested top half.
