A 26-YEAR-OLD man who had been jailed for breaching a restraining order in favour of his ex-partner breached the order again within days of being released.
Blackburn magistrates heard Robert Marples sent Keeley Cruickshanks a message saying he was going to kill her and feed her to his pigs.
Marples, 26, of Boulsworth Road, Trawden, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order.
He was jailed for 20 weeks after the court heard it was the third breach of the order which was made when he was sentenced for assaulting Miss Cruikshanks causing her actual bodily harm.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said there had been multiple contacts with Miss Cruikshanks starting as soon as Marples left prison.
"She told him to leave her alone but he persisted," said Miss Allan. "Some of the threats he made were concerning and he is causing Miss Cruikshanks considerable aggravation and stress."
Glen Smith, defending, said the breach had been encouraged by the aggrieved.
"She has acknowledged that she has been in contact with him," said Mr Smith.
