NELSON Town Council has written to the Prime Minister calling for a Tory Party investigation following the reinstatement of Earby councillor Rosemary Carroll, suspended over a 'racist' Facebook post, to Pendle borough's Conservative group.
After its annual meeting, chairman Cllr Zafar Ali asks the Prime Minister ''to intervene urgently to set up an inquiry' saying it 'has brought national attention on Pendle in the most negative of ways'.
Cl;r Carrol is declining to comment but the leader of Pendle Council Tory group Cllr Paul White said: "I fail to see what this is to do with Nelson town council."
