AN inquest into the death of a 20-year-old woman has been adjourned until a later date.
Kimberleigh Halstead, from Denton Street in Barnoldswick, died on March 14, 2017, an inquest at Preston Coroners Court heard.
Coroner James Newman said she was found unresponsive at Morecambe Short Breaks Service and was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary where she was pronounced dead.
Mr Newman said Miss Halstead had ‘autism and severe learning difficulties’.
Pathologist Dr Tim Dawson gave an initial verdict of unascertained death and said it is ‘likely’ she could have had a seizure.
The family asked, if CPR had been administered by staff sooner would it have given Miss Halstead a better chance of survival.
Mr Newman said he would adjourn the hearing so an appropriate clinical doctor could answer the question. A new date will be listed within six weeks.
