MORE than 200 Pendle pensioners joined the Mayor of Pendle for his annual festive gathering.
Cllr David Whalley hosted his Christmas ‘do’ at The ACE Centre in Nelson on Monday and Tuesday, which included a delicious afternoon tea and a variety of entertainment.
The line-up included female duo Vintage Pearls, musician and comedian Jeff Stewart, magician Brian Sefton and vocalist and comedian Clare Louise.
Popular Pendle entertainer, Glen South, was the compere for both afternoons.
Councillor Whalley said: “Christmas is a wonderful time to get together to toast the festive season and share some fabulous food and great entertainment.
“The Mayoress and I had two thoroughly enjoyable afternoons sharing the Christmas spirit with our older Pendle residents.”
