Plantation Street, Accrington
FIREFIGHTERS battled a living room fire.
Fire crews from Hyndburn and Blackburn were called to reports of a fire in the living room of a property in Plantation Street, Accrington shortly before 10am.
A fire service spokesman said crews found a fire in the rear ground floor room of the property.
Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus, isolated the utilities to the property and used a hose reel and ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
There were two casualties at the incident who were given precautionary checks at the scene for smoke inhalation, however they did not require hospital treatment the spokesman said.
