A DRUNKEN man was arrested after shouting racist abuse at a police officer as he dealt with another incident.
Blackburn magistrates heard Michael Graham Wilcock locked himself inside a house when the officer approached but was arrested after assistance arrived.
Wilcock, 22, of Ansdell Terrace, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour and failing to surrender to bail. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months, made subject to a 7pm to 7am curfew for 28 days and ordered to pay £85 costs.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client’s behaviour had been ‘extremely childish and extremely foolish’.
