SHOPPERS at Burnley Market Hall raised £747 for Pendleside Hospice during ‘Love Your Markets’ fortnight.
Coun Andy Tatchell, executive member for regeneration and economic development, said: “I’d like to thank the market shoppers, and raffle prize donors, for helping us to raise an impressive £747 for the hospice.
“The Love Your Local Market campaign was a huge success.
“Shopping at local markets is seeing a resurgence, with shoppers seeking local products, to support local independent traders, in a local, friendly, bustling environment, and Burnley Markets are always looking at ways of improving the market offer.”
