DARWEN Town Council will receive £13.63 less from an average Band D property in 2015/16.
This is a 0.8 per cent reduction on the charge for last year, but will bring in the same revenue for the council, due to a population increase.
The total council tax bill for a Band D home in Darwen is now £1,504. Of that, £1,280 goes to Blackburn with Darwen Council, while Lancashire Police receives £159 and Lancashire Combined Fire Authority gets £65.
