COUNCILLORS in Great Harwood have called for pavements in the town centre to be improved.
Dirty and missing paving and poor drainage were all noticed by Noordad Aziz and Bernadette Parkinson during a recent walkabout in the town.
Coun Aziz said the pair have asked the county council to use industrial jet washers on the paving, replacing missing stones, and ensuring there is sufficient drainage at bus stops.
He uploaded pictures of black tarmac among slabs, mis-matched paving, and large puddles in the road.
