HYNDBURN Voluntary and Community Centre is set to benefit from a new free ten-year lease, if councillors agree.
The centre, which offers accomodation solutions to residents, will be allowed to stay at the St James Old School Building, in Cannon Street, Accrington, if approval is given at a cabinet meeting later today.
A report written by the council’s estates manager for regeneration and housing services said: “It is recommended that cabinet approves the grant of a 10 year lease at a nil rental on the basis that cabinet is satisfied that the proposed usage of the building will promote the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the borough.”
