Plastic fire already out
FIRE crews were called to an Accrington venue yesterday after a plastic sheet set alight.
Firefighters arrived at Elmfield House in Riding Barn Street shortly after 11am.
The service said that a construction worker had placed a plastic sheet on a light fitting that was switched off only for it to be later switched on and burst into flames.
The crews were at the scene for 20 minutes and used ventilation equipment to clear the smoke.The fire was already out by the time they arrived.
