VISITORS to Hoddlesden’s annual picnic event on Millennium Green helped raise funds for charity.
Among those to benefit was cancer battler Sam Shaw, who was recently given the all-clear after a long fight against neuroblastoma.
Mum Christine, of Glencoe Avenue, said: “It was a fantastic family fun day event with lots of fun and laughter.
“We would like to say a special thank you to the organisers who kindly donated the proceeds of the tombola to Sam’s appeal.
“Once again we are truly grateful.”
The event saw families gather on the green to enjoy the glorious sunshine and music while tucking into good food.
