WATER supplier United Utilities has achieved 99.9 per cent compliance with EU quality targets.
The achievement was revealed in the firm’s year-end figures.
The report also revealed the water utility cut its carbon footprint by 11 per cent in the 12 months ending in March this year.
Chief executive Steve Mogford said: “Our customers continue to benefit from our robust water supply and demand balance and high levels of water supply reliability across the north west.”
The north west of England water and sewerage firm holds a licence to provide services to seven million people and businesses.
